Every morning I wake up and the first thing I do is check my email. I usually wake up to about 20-50 emails (depending on the day and depending on if I woke up in the middle of the night and compulsively checked my email). I tend to ignore most of them, choosing to read/respond later in the day.
However there is one email that I now look forward to opening frist thing every morning, from Abe: 4square and 7 years ago.
This site taps into your Foursquare checkins from last year and sends you a recap email every day telling you where you were on that same day last year.
I traveled a lot in 2010, so I adore getting emails that reminded me where I was and what concerts I attended.
Recently I have been asked by many why I continue to use Foursquare and check in everywhere. Services like 4square and 7 years ago are the exact reason I do it. I love having these archives of my life.
Also? How could you not love these little gems they include in the email recap:
“Maybe future Monika should calm the fuck down.”
That seems doubtful
