Who The Hell Is The Easter Bunny?

By Friday, April 22, 2011 0 Permalink 0

I have received no less than 5 different emails/text/fb messages today that have referenced lyrics from Rebecca Black's horrifically, intoxicating song. This has forced me to listen to as many other songs as loudly as possible to drown out Friday from repeating in my head. Unfortunately I stumbled on this video, and while the lyrics have been altered (and are high-larious!) I still have that damn song in my head. This song/video is worth watching, even if it means having 'we-we-we so excited/I I I so crucified' repeating in my head: Gotta eat fish on Friday!

Gilt Sale: Flip Camera!

By Wednesday, April 13, 2011 0 Permalink 0

So yesterday Cisco announced that it was killing the Flip camera. Today Gilt Groupe is having a huge sale on Flip cameras! I own a Flip, and I have not been impressed with it whatsoever. It is kind of big, bulky and even though I have the HD version, the video and audio quality are not as good as my iPhone. The audio is especially bad at concerts, which seems to be where I take most of my video these days. If you were upset when you learned that Flip was dying, here is one more chance to go grab one before they become obsolete!

Local Band of the Week: Churchill

By Tuesday, April 12, 2011 0 Permalink 0

It is no secret that I love local music, and luckily we live in a great area that is full of amazing bands. This week the local band on repeat for me is Churchill. I have seen them a few times in Denver and they will be playing at the Brick House (connected to the Lazy Dog) in Boulder on Thursday night, April, 14th. Opening for them is another great act, Sam Lee. Tickets are only $5, so there really is no reason for you not to join me. Here is an acoustic song/video of Churchill (and how adorable is Bethany playing the accordion? She has ...

All Liver No Onions – FoCoMX

By Sunday, April 10, 2011 0 Permalink 0

While waiting for the green room to open at FoCoMX on Saturday, I met my friend Rande at Hodi's Half Note. Playing was All Liver No Onions, who were fantastic! The lead singer, Mia, was adorable, and wrote this song all by herself! The story of how they got their name is also pretty cute: "One day in the depths of the sea, a dolphin named Salli tried to eat an onion, she didn't enjoy it much, and cried a bit. This ordeal made her so sad she decided to move to the land. She ended up in Colorado and met a boy named Oliver, They fell ...

Foo-ed Up Documentary

By Wednesday, April 6, 2011 0 Permalink 0

So after all of my raving about how amazing the Foo Fighters documentary was, my parents got tickets to one of 2 theaters in Colorado that were showing the movie. They were so excited! I couldn't wait to hear what they thought of the movie and the 3D live concert. After the movie, I texted my mom to ask how it was. She said it was torture, the sound was really messed up and the 3D did not work. I assumed she was just talking about the 3D live concert, so I called her to see how the documentary was. Turns out the whole movie was messed up. ...

Foo Fighters Tuesday

By Tuesday, April 5, 2011 0 Permalink 0

Since the release of the Foo Fighters documentary Back and Forth is today (although limited) I figured I would finally post all of my pictures and video from their secret show in Austin during SXSW last month. My brother, Stefan, and I were lucky enough to get to see the early preview of the documentary. It was the same day as my iPhone debacle. While I was running around town, Stefan waited patiently in line for the Foo Fighters documentary. As I was running back to the hotel to shower, he called and said I had to get down to the theatre ASAP because they were giving ...

The Graduate – Pull Me In

By Tuesday, March 29, 2011 1 Permalink 0

I am discovering more and more that when I hear a band or song I like, I tend to play it on repeat for hours, days, months etc. So sorry if you see me post about my newest musical obsessions a lot, but when I say I am obsessed that means I have at least played it on repeat for an hour or more. My latest musical obsession is a repeat: The Graduate. But the obsession is not over the song (which do not get me wrong, the song is awesome, and a little Arcade Fire-esque at the end), but the video for Pull Me In ...
