Sorry for the delay in this post! March was a whirlwind and April has come and is almost gone. This Stitch Fix box arrived the day before our celebratory party and on my way out of my apartment I grabbed my Stitch Fix and took it to my parents house to open. Right as I got there I did a little fashion show for my parents and tried on all of the clothes. Even my mom was so excited to see what I got in this box! On first glance, the items were all PERFECT, especially since I was headed to Austin for SXSW and DC for a work conference immediately following our party.
So, what was in my Stitch Fix box that I was so excited about?
So here is what I got:
Echo Hattie Ikat Sequined Infinity Scarf
Pomelo Carla Contrast Trip Drape-Front Cardigan
Tart Vida Zip-Up Cardigan
Collective Concepts Esten Button-Up Sleeveless Blouse
Eight Sixty Bobbi Textured Stripe Peplum Top
What I am returning:
Pomelo Carla Contrast Trip Drape-Front Cardigan
This looked PERFECT in the box. The grey color and pink-ish/orange trim was cute, and fun and would be great to wear with jeans and add a pop of color to my normally black and grey wardrobe. You can imagine my dismay when the sleeves were WAY too big for me and the whole cardigan seemed about a size too big for me.
Collective Concepts Esten Button-Up Sleeveless Blouse
As I said, my wardrobe is normally black, but the color of this blouse just spoke to me. Unfortunately the fit was just not quite right. Foiled again!
Eight Sixty Bobbi Textured Stripe Peplum Top
This would have looked great under my red blazer I received in my second Stitch Fix box and been perfect to wear to the conference in DC. After trying it on it was immediately clear that this was a size too small for me. It was more of a corset to my chest than acceptable tank top.
My Faves, aka what I’m keeping:
Echo Hattie Ikat Sequined Infinity Scarf
I fell in love with the embellishments on this white and grey scarf! I wore this all the time in DC as the weather turned a bit colder.
Cannot make up my mind:
Tart Vida Zip-Up Cardigan
I really struggled with whether or not to keep this. The fabric was incredibly soft and the fit was perfect – not too tight and not too loose. Ultimately what made me decide to return this ‘cardigan’ (was more of a jacket in my opinion) was that it was so similar to my Lululemon jacket and was just about the same price, but a bit thinner fabric. If I had more time to decide, I may have kept it.
Have you received any of these items in your Stitch Fix boxes? What do you think I should have kept?
