Since the release of the Foo Fighters documentary Back and Forth is today (although limited) I figured I would finally post all of my pictures and video from their secret show in Austin during SXSW last month. My brother, Stefan, and I were lucky enough to get to see the early preview of the documentary. It was the same day as my iPhone debacle. While I was running around town, Stefan waited patiently in line for the Foo Fighters documentary. As I was running back to the hotel to shower, he called and said I had to get down to the theatre ASAP because they were giving ...
The Graduate – Pull Me In
I am discovering more and more that when I hear a band or song I like, I tend to play it on repeat for hours, days, months etc. So sorry if you see me post about my newest musical obsessions a lot, but when I say I am obsessed that means I have at least played it on repeat for an hour or more. My latest musical obsession is a repeat: The Graduate. But the obsession is not over the song (which do not get me wrong, the song is awesome, and a little Arcade Fire-esque at the end), but the video for Pull Me In ...
Unwritten Law – Starships and Apocalypse
Unwritten Law was one of my favorite bands growing up, so when I got an email saying they would be playing at Summit Music Hall on April 20th (tickets still available - open invitation to join me!) I had to do research to see what they have been up to over the past few years. Turns out they have a new CD coming out March 29th (tomorrow!!) and they just released a video for their new single Starships and Apocalypse. Also watch the behind the scenes video: "Take my hand, off we go to lala land"
Foo Fighters Documentary – Back and Forth Trailer
The Foo Fighters are doing limited screenings next week across the US and I highly recommend going and seeing “Back and Forth” ASAP.
Current Musical Obsession – AWOLNATION
While at SXSW I got an email from my mom saying that this was her new favorite band and they were playing at Stubb's that night and my brother and I should try to go. I ended up going to the show alone, but AWOLNATION was awesome! I am so glad I checked them out. Their live show consists of actual instruments as opposed to the overly produced electronic version heard here (which is still really good). I had listened to them briefly before going to SXSW because I loved their song "Sail" but after seeing them live, this is my favorite song, "MF". WARNING: Lyrics ...
Video Playlist of Tickle Me Pink’s Last Show EVER
More video to come, but here is what I have uploaded so far to YouTube from Tickle Me Pink’s last concert ever at Summit Music Hall in Denver on March 5, 2011.
Tickle Me Pink Throughout The Years
A few days ago, my dad put together this montage of Tickle Me Pink from their first show at the Tool Room (which was only for people UNDER 21, so my parents were not allowed to attend and the band may have been wearing a little bit of eye makeup) to playing Halloween gigs to New West Fest to Big Gig. There is footage of the band recording Half Seas Over in Virginia and Madeline at the Blasting Room mixed among other goofiness. I have watched this video at least 5 times in the past few days, and I always get goosebumps during New West Fest ...
Tickle Me Pink’s Last Show
Reminder to all my friends, followers, stalkers etc: Tickle Me Pink's last concert ever is going to be this Saturday at Summit Music Hall in Denver. You best get your tickets ASAP so you can come hang out with me, rocking and jumping and moshing to this: Do it now. You know you do not want to miss out on this awesomeness. Plus, I will be there.
Unspoken by Darling Thieves
This song makes me happy, and the video makes me laugh, so it was the perfect little pick-me up since I was heading into a bad afternoon slump. I have been lucky (?) enough to see the uncensored version, but figured I would spare you all. Enjoy!
Internet Killed The Video Star
This is another song that I cannot stop listening to: Internet Killed the Video Star by The Limousines.
