Rdio’s New Radio Feature
Rdio has been my streaming music site of choice for quite some time now, and earlier this week they released an awesome new feature! While I enjoy being able to select bands, songs or albums to listen to, but sometimes when I am working I just want music to play and not repeat the same album over and over. New Music Tuesday – Jack’s Mannequin: Live From The El Rey Theatre
I don't generally like live albums as they usually sound pretty shitty and don't really replicate the experience you get by being at the theatre with 200, 300, 1000 of your closest friends (for the night at least). But Andrew McMahon sounds amazing on this live album recorded at the El Rey Theatre: I feel like I am there, watching him dance on his piano, singing along with the crowd. I'm literally dancing at my desk at 8:30 this morning to this album.
Royal Teeth and American Authors at Larimer Lounge
I didn't know who Royal Teeth were until Aimee invited me to go see them with her. I absolutely loved their song Wild, so of course I said yes. They were even more impressive in concert! Instagram Videos – How to Turn Off Auto-Play
I have a few pet peeves when it comes to these new micro video apps, but that's for another day. Since Instagram announced their new video feature today, the social sphere has been turning Instagram feeds everywhere into strictly video feeds. My feed is literally all video, which start obnoxiously playing as I quickly scroll through my feed. While by default the Instagram videos have the auto-play option enabled, they built in the ability to turn off auto-play!!! Wasn't that nice of them? This weekend is Westword's Music Showcase! There are still tickets available, but buy them now before they go up on Saturday! Biggest Instagram Mistake And How to Fix It!
How many times have you taken a photo of a product on Instagram, added your own witty caption, tagged the brand and pushed the image to Twitter, only to find out that the @mention did not go through?
