Today I stumbled upon a cool feature in Tweetie 2 that I have never noticed before. This is a small feature, but just one of the many reasons I stick to Tweetie 2 as my go-to Twitter client on the iPhone.
Adding alerts for specific contacts on a Blackberry
I recently traded in my 6 month old Palm Pre for the new Blackberry Tour. The Pre just did not stand up to my standards of a smart phone and became too slow for me to use for anything (I came to loathe that phone so quickly). Before the Pre I had the older World Blackberry 8830, so I knew that I could count on it to do what I needed (email, texts, aim, gchat, twitter and phone calls) without slowing the whole phone down. It took me a few weeks to get all of the alerts back to what they were on my old Blackberry because ...
Today was a big day for me!
Earlier tonight I decided that I wanted my Tumblr to be hosted on my own domain. I know that this is not something terribly difficult to do, but I am quite proud that I was able to do it all by myself.
New Years Resolutions
That is not really the right title for this post, but it is January and I am attempting to get more exercise, so it seemed fitting. No this post is not about my resolution to buy more boots/shoes (although I do need a pair of brown boots), but about my attempt to get more exercise. Within the last few months Matt had started taking the bus to Pearl Street to work everyday, and would get off the bus early and take some time to walk a few blocks. It was then that I started to realize that I really do not walk enough throughout my day. I walk around the office, ...
Never thought these words would come out of my mouth…
I found a good reason to use Bing.com! Ok that may have been a little more excited than it should be, but I am impressed I have found a legitimate reason to use Bing over Google. When searching for an online company, like retailer Amazon.com, on Google you get a lot of links to Amazon.com, Books, Web Services, EC2, Wikipedia of the Amazon River etc: BUT look at the same search with Bing: This may not be a huge deal to you, but they have Amazon.com's phone number listed under all of the other links! Have you ever searched for Amazon's phone number? Unless they have changed the location ...
Keep Calm…It’s only Christmas
It is only Christmas, it is not the end of the world. You do not have to yell at people because you are upset, or stressed, or started your shopping too late. Just keep calm and smile. Chances are most people working today would love to be home with their friends and family also.
My new love
Really, I am in love with this new jacket. I was not even planning on buying a new winter jacket this year as I have few old ones and I do not plan on going skiing so I did not think I needed one. That is until I went to the annual GoLite sale last Friday in Gunbarrel.
How to turn on Twitter Text Messages
Surprisingly there seem to be many people out there that did not know that you could have Twitter send you a text (sms) message to your phone when specific people Twitter. I have had this feature turned on for quite some time and I love it. I also have unlimited text messaging on my iPhone so I do not have to worry about going over my limit. To start you need to add your phone number to your Twitter account. After you are logged in on the web go to the Settings tab, then click on Mobile. After you have added your phone number, you can then ...
My thoughts on the Charmin Bathrooms in NYC
After celebrating Thanksmas we decided to go to NYC on Sunday and see if tkts had any good deals on a Broadway matinee. We had just bought our tickets and were debating what to do next when we spotted the Charmin pop-up bathrooms in Times Square. Since it had been a long train ride into the city we decided to see what all the hubub was about. Immediately after walking in we were wondering if we had made a mistake. We had to go up an escalator to the bathrooms: The escalator seemed to be leading us to an arcade or a casino in Vegas, but we kept ...
