The Graduate – Pull Me In

I am discovering more and more that when I hear a band or song I like, I tend to play it on repeat for hours, days, months etc. So sorry if you see me post about my newest musical obsessions a lot, but when I say I am obsessed that means I have at least played it on repeat for an hour or more. My latest musical obsession is a repeat: The Graduate. But the obsession is not over the song (which do not get me wrong, the song is awesome, and a little Arcade Fire-esque at the end), but the video for Pull Me In ...

Current Musical Obsession – AWOLNATION

While at SXSW I got an email from my mom saying that this was her new favorite band and they were playing at Stubb's that night and my brother and I should try to go. I ended up going to the show alone, but AWOLNATION was awesome! I am so glad I checked them out. Their live show consists of actual instruments as opposed to the overly produced electronic version heard here (which is still really good). The Graduate – “Don’t Die Digging”

One of my latest musical obsessions is the band The Graduate. My friend Matt introduced them to me over a year ago, and I just recently saw them open for Ludo. They just came out with the following video for their new song "Don't Die Digging." After watching this video I could not get this song out of my head! One of my newest musical obsessions is Stubhy and The Bad Habits. The lyrics are also quite engaging. One of the best uses of alliteration that I have heard in a long time comes in the second verse: “and months and months of medication and mental masturbation.” I listened to this song on repeat all morning, and without fail my ears would perk up during that line every time (and make me smile a bit).
