I use my Twitter favorites more often then not as a 'read later' or 'don't forget to share this with so and so later' more than a 'I love this tweet!' Then I usually forget to go back and read the article or share the photos with anyone. I favorite tweets for different reasons, think it will be useful at work, it is about a band I like, I want to share it with someone etc. There are different reasons that I try to keep straight in my head, but I sometimes forget why I marked a tweet or article. Earlier today I read an article ...
Smile! Missing Sync
After reading through my conversation with Jason at least 3 times in the past few days, I am so grateful that I will always have access to our messages. I can look back at our texts and will forever be reminded about his biggest message to me: “smile.” Jason always told me he loved my smile. He was the person who could always text me and make me smile.
Yay! Good Customer Service
It makes me happy that companies today not only take customer service seriously but also follow through until the issue is resolved (looking at you AT&T and and Comcast).
I Hope This Gets To You
Not only is the concept behind this video awesome (a guy is trying to prove to his long distance girlfriend that despite the distance, they can still be close through the social web) but the song is catchy and the video is fun to watch.
Find out where to vote!
Yesterday I was having such a hard time using Larimer.org’s website and trying to figure out where to go to vote, but luckily I stumbled on this map from Google. All you have to do is enter in the address where you are registered and it will return a map showing you exactly where to go on November 2nd. Hopefully this will help others and encourage you all to go out and vote this year!
3OH!3′s Double Vision Video
What a great concept for a video! It combines 2 of my loves: music and the internet. I am not a huge fan of the song (maybe it will grow on me) but this video is so much fun! I love that it was done in one shot and it looks like it would be a ton of fun to film.
My weekend: setting up an online store for Tickle Me Pink
Recently I have taken over the task of helping out my brother's band, Tickle Me Pink, with the huge task of opening their own online marketplace to sell their merchandise to fans all over the US. Despite the fact that I work for an e-commerce website (DrillSpot.com), starting a new store from scratch is a ton of work! While I have been researching different platforms over the past few weeks that offer easy back-end systems that allow you to sell products online, it was not until this weekend that I decided on which one we were going to use, BigCartel.com. Originally I wanted to use Bandzoogle.com, but after ...
BOCC and why I will be going Tuesday
A few weeks ago I decided that I would make a point to get up early and head over to Atlas Purveyors for Boulder Open Coffee Club. I decided to go for a few reasons, the biggest being that I wanted to do something new that allowed me to meet other local people. BOCC was a good outing as many of the people I follow on Twitter regularly attend and over the past few months I had grown curious as to what exactly this BOCC event was. Truthfully when I got to Atlas that morning I had absolutely no idea what to expect from Boulder Open Coffee Club ...
eTail East
The last 4 days in Baltimore at the eTail East conference have been amazing. It was a last minute decision for my boss, Paul, and I to attend eTail but it was a great conference. Paul and I were lucky enough to be invited to eTail West in February at the JW Marriot in Palm Springs, and it was hands down one of the best conferences we have ever been to. Attending eTail East was basically a no brainer (though a last minute decision). While East was quite a bit smaller than West (have heard as much as 1/2 the size) I think the smaller attendance added to the ...
DuckDuck Deal in Boulder
So I am trying to get back into blogging. My friend Joel wrote a post on his company's blog that inspired me to try to get back into writing (and hopefully publishing) for my blog. What better to start with than to write about my experience with a local company DuckDuck Deal. They have been around since April 6th and while I knew about them back in April, I didn't use them until last week. To be honest I had kind of forgotten about DuckDuck Deal despite having their iPhone app installed on my phone (I have 10 pages of apps...I know, I know). I will admit that ...
