Not sure if I just missed this feature from awhile ago, but I just noticed that when you hover over a friend's name on Facebook, you get a pop up similar to what Twitter implemented awhile ago. Personally I like the way Facebook has implemented this a little more than Twitter, but only because it shows you a little more information about how you are related to the person (ie 16 people in common). I wish that the Twitter pop up gave more information without having to click 'more' or the cog button. I always open a Twitter profile in another tab because to me I care more ...
Check.in – Good Idea, Needs Some Work
Check.in is an HTML5 site that allows you to check in on Brightkite, Gowalla and Foursquare at the same time, which seems like an awesome idea, except it is missing some of the features that make those other applications great.
My Wii Now Streams Netflix!
Thanks to Netflix and Wii for making it an extremely simple process to update my Wii to allow for Netflix streaming. After popping in the DVD from Netflix, making sure the Wii was on wifi and waiting for an update, all that was left was to enter a code from the tv into my Netflix profile. After that my Wii was ready to go!
Netflix Streaming to the Wii
Netflix is finally allowing users to stream movies and tv shows to the Wii!! I just got the following email telling me that once I receive the disc, my Wii will be able to stream my instant queue! I can't wait until Friday!
New Feature I Found in Tweetie 2
Today I stumbled upon a cool feature in Tweetie 2 that I have never noticed before. This is a small feature, but just one of the many reasons I stick to Tweetie 2 as my go-to Twitter client on the iPhone.
Never thought these words would come out of my mouth…
I found a good reason to use Bing.com! Ok that may have been a little more excited than it should be, but I am impressed I have found a legitimate reason to use Bing over Google. When searching for an online company, like retailer Amazon.com, on Google you get a lot of links to Amazon.com, Books, Web Services, EC2, Wikipedia of the Amazon River etc: BUT look at the same search with Bing: This may not be a huge deal to you, but they have Amazon.com's phone number listed under all of the other links! Have you ever searched for Amazon's phone number? Unless they have changed the location ...
Spamville
Farmville has gone from being a fun, addictive, creative time management game on Facebook to becoming spam. I would not even call it a game anymore.
Starbucks “Gold Card” is going away
I have a Starbucks Gold Card (cost $25/yr, 10% off drinks/food + free drinks and more) because I go to Starbucks a lot (less now because I do not commute 2 hours a day). I also have a Starbucks Duetto Credit Card, which means that everytime I use my Starbucks Credit Card I get points for free coffee! Anyways, I just got an email saying that "More Great Benefits Are Coming Your Way!" Want to know what they are? Me too because from what I can discern, they are taking most of my current benefits away in December and taking away my Gold Card status and putting ...
